Dr. Appiah grew up in McKinney, TX. In her spare time, she loves to travel to new places and all around the world. She loves to see live music and try new restaurants in the North Texas area. She also enjoys cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners during college football season, as well as spending time with family and friends.

She is still in search of her favorite vacation spot, but for now she enjoys Belize, Croatia, and Ghana.
